Get ready! It's llama's amazingly epic anime of the week thread! *cheers*
Now, because it seems quite a few of you have seen to little anime, or have missed out on some golden gems, I shall talk about random anime you need to watch! Some weeks it will be better known, while others will be stuff I'm sure most of you haven't as much as heard of. Now let the epicness begin!
Edit; well, because Gio wants me to be a thread whore, I'm making a new thread every week instead of posting it all nice and cleanly in one thread. So now instead of the thread being called Llama's epic anime of the week thread, it will now be LEAT: Edition Name here.
05/25/08 - Nice boat edition!
School Days

So to start things off, I decide to warp your minds to the disturbing romance anime known as School Days. For those who have already seen this, nice boat! For those who don't understand, you will.
The series revolves around Makoto Ito and the love triangle between Kotonoha Katsura and Sekai Saionji. It starts off much like akin other romance anime's, with Makato falling for Kotonoha on his trips to and from school. One day he decides to take a picture of her due to the legend that if you keep a picture of the one you love on your cell phone, your love will be answered. And this is where everything starts, Sekai ends up noticing the picture and decides to help them get together.
Of course, as I said this is a warped romance, things don't stay all happy for long. It's soon found out that Sekai also loves Makato, and only helped the two to get together so that she could get closer to him. Now with being the indecisive bastard Makato is, he can't decide who to stay with, ends up going back and forth among the two. Soon enough you begin to understand that this is no normal school romance anime, and that something is seriously wrong.
Saying all of this though, do not take this series seriously, but instead, watch it as though watching a soap. What I mean by this is that is by the midway point, the drama is thick enough to choke a small animal and the angst is ready to be cut by a knife!
Now onwards to the animation. It's actually quite good, though it does get choppy a few times through the series, but nothing that is really to bothering. As for the character design, you will either love it or dislike it. Though it does normally grow on you as the series continues on.
I stand by the reasoning that this is a much watch, while it won't grow on you the same way say, Cowboy Bebop or Trigun did, it will still be a series that once finished you won't forget.
