Today I got fake gay married to my friend Mitch in front of our campus' student union. The demonstration was to raise awareness for lack of tax, inheritance, hospital, and adoption rights for gays. It went off without much of a hitch. During the "can anybody give a reason why these two should not be married?" there were responses of "They both have penises!" for my wedding and "Scissors!" for a lesbian wedding, but that's it. The crowds got into the hundreds, since it was done outside during a busy foot traffic area during class changeover.

I have to assume "they both have penises" was done in jest. If not, it would be the most tasteless objection ever.

I think both were done in jest, but, then again, they were shouted at an outdoor event with news reporters and school officials, so it was in bad taste anyway.
