That's a pretty deathly look poutine, but I guess I always expect a poutine to look hardcore and have enough calories to kill a small animal.

And I haven't eaten anything in the last 24 hours...I'll get a picture of something...you just wait -_-

That isn't a poutine. Poutine MUST have curd cheese. Otherwise, it's fries with cheese and gravy.

I am eating PMS chocolate.

PMS chocolate is just like regular chocolate, only you eat m * f as much chocolate as you normally would, where m is a non-negative integer representing the number of meals per day after which you regularly eat chocolate and f is a real number not less than 1 representing the extent to which you are feeling down. Clearly this growth rate is exponential in the case that you regularly eat chocolate after at least 2 meals. In the event that you normally do not each chocolate, consumption becomes unpredictable.

...Om nom nom.

dinowoman
11-10-2008, 14:06
Given that my consumption of chocolate is extremely erratic, and rarely has any connection with meals, that equation wouldn't be very helpful for me.

Right now I'm not eating anything because I'll be going out to a kung fu class shortly, and won't get my dinner till I get home about 10pm. :(

But yesterday I tried out a hash brown casserole recipe that someone posted on another forum. It was delicious! :)

dinowoman
03-06-2009, 14:52
Wow! Those are only 89 cents? I can't judge the size very well, but I'd expect that sort of thing to cost getting on for ?2 here.

Anyway, tonight I had a jar of sauce for beef in ale to use up (I'd opened it a couple of days ago, thinking it was chasseur sauce) so I did a casserole of beef, carrots, little onions and button mushrooms and that sauce, and served it with penne (I think you call it ziti (sp?)) and broccoli.

I don't know why but I find them a bit spicy... And I hate too spicy but I still eat them cause they are so good. -.-;

What I like getting is the three gordita meal that is like 4 bucks here and getting the baha(sp?) spices put it. It's good.

Though I hate most of the Taco Bells in this area cause if you go around Midnight. They usually fuck up your order. Like I got three of those cheesy double beef burritos but yet two of the three were that + double stack(it had the beef, cheese, rice and etc but this hard shell with refried beans.). I still ate it but it was like meh I can barely taste the beans just the texture is gross.

They're about the same size as the bean burrito, which isn't very big. I'll admit it's good value for the price, though.

That would still cost well over ?1 here.

We call it "penne." But I don't know what "sauce for beef in ale" or "chasseur sauce" are.
Beef in ale is just a kind of stew which includes beer in the gravy. Normally I'd make that sort of thing myself but the local supermarket was selling jars of various sauces at half price so I bought a couple. I don't really know what exactly goes into chicken chasseur, but it's a French dish with a rich sauce containing various vegetables, tomatoes and herbs. I quite often buy jars of the sauce to pour over chicken for a quick and easy meal when I don't have much time to spend on cooking.

Totally have to share this one, greasy at it looks from the picture.

Now, I love tacos.

I love soft shelf tacos.

And I LOVE cheese!!

This was actually one of those El Paso kits you can get at the grocery store for like $2 and then add your own meat.

It's like a taco four-layer pie!!

You cook the meat and then layer it on soft shell tacos (four of them) and it comes with cheese sauce to put on top.

Being that Chris and I always have a ton of cheese blocks from WI, we ground up some mild cheddar cheese and threw it inbetween all the layers!

It's sooooo good! Definitely a knife and fork meal, but a great Mexican dish and pretty easy to make too!

It's great because he has to make huge batches of his pastries and only has to have one or two to his teacher for his grading and whatnot...and my coworker brings in the rest.

Today we have blueberry muffins, these little French pastry things (very light and fluffy), some kind of cookie looking thing (it had nuts in it, so I passed), biscuits, and these very, very nummy cinnamon swirl pastries.

Hm, I only like McDonalds when it comes to fast food fries.

I stopped ordering things that aren't on the value menu at McDonalds. Sometimes they cost over 3 or 4 dollars, and don't fill you up much more than 2 value menu items. I could just buy 4 McChickens/Double Cheeseburgers/Small Fry or whatever and save a lot of money for the same crappy McQuality.

Depending on where you live. Usually I get a double cheese burger(Like the mcdouble but with one extra piece of cheese), one mcchicken and a large fry. That usually 'is filling' enough.

I really only enjoy BK/Wendy's/Arby's fries. The only time McD was good was when they used animal fat for their fryers.

I'm a fan of BK's moreso than any others.

As far as meal deals at McDonalds, you can get 2 double cheeseburgers for around $2.50 (if you don't get the coombo) which isn't bad.

Before I went to work today I got 2 Double cheeseburgers and got to the office and grabbed a $0.50 can of coke from the vending machine so I ended up paying $3 for two burgers and a drink which, to me, is a hell of a lot better than $5.50 - $6.50 for a single burger, a drink and some fries.

Just got back from Fuddruckers. It was just Lisa, myself and Brandon eating. For those who aren't aware, Fuddruckers is basically a burger joint where they give you buns, a patty, and cheese if you want it. They have a "Build-A-Burger" bar with lettuce and tomatoes and condiments and peppers and all the stuff you could want to put on the burger (sorta like Subway but you have to do it yourself).

3 burgers, 2 things of fries, 1 thing of chili cheese fries, and 3 drinks rang up to $34 and change. Kinda seems like bullshit to me. I mean the burgers were good but damn.

I hadn't been to Fuddruckers since I was a kid and now I know why we only went once before my dad decided to make his big burgers at home.

deathofcheese
06-23-2009, 00:13
I don't remember Fuddrucker's being that expensive, although, then again, I never paid for it myself. Isn't a half-pound or 3/4-pound burger $5 or $7?

Z
06-23-2009, 00:31
1/2 pound burger meal was $8.79 with regular fries. The chili cheese fries are an additional $3.29 for a small and $4.29 for a large (can't remember which one Brandon got)

I grabbed a to-go menu with the prices to remind myself why I won't be going back anytime soon, heh.

Seegtease

I'd expect to feed 3 people at Red Robin for that price. I'd expect Fuddruckers to be in a lower price tier than them.

Lawl -- I shit you not, one time I managed to fuck up Spaghetti. I mean, somehow, boil water, insert noodles, and wait until noodles are soft ended up being too complicated. I put in too much butter, the noodles were a bit too firm for my own liking (but I already dumped out the hot water when I emptied into the strainer) and I didn't even bother with tomato sauce, fearing that I would screw that up, too.

That's why as you boil the noodles, you take one out and taste it to see the texture. You want firm but soft noodles. El Dente or whatever it's called/spelled.

I made burritos the other night for the first time. It's hash browns plus an egg, and you can add meat, sausage, corn, peppers, onions, etc. for flavor. When the potatoes are browned, add the egg and when that's done cooking, it's ready to eat. Warm up a tortilla shell, put some potatoes in, sprinkle with cheese, put some salsa and/or sour cream on it and enjoy.

Page 8 is glitched for whatcha eating. <_<;

Regardless, I made what is called pig slop.

Basically you take a potato or two and use a cheese grater on it. Then you put the potatoes into a frying pan to cook, as that is going on. You stand there and make a two or three egg scramble. You mix both together and if you like you can toss in green pepper, lunch meat and etc. It's basiclaly a mesh mash of anything and then you usually season with garlic and pepper but that is up to the maker. I then put some shredded cheese on it and ketchup.

I was worried at first bc i can't digest red meats but the waiter told me i should be just fine... and i was ! (i'll get all sciency if you need me too about why marrow and meat aren't the same thing) but anyway! they brought us some amazing bread to spread this craberry jam stuff, and then you scoop some of the bone marrow out of the bone and put it on top of that... i honestly thought i wasn't gonna like it... but man, that shit is good! (and if i like it, anyone can like it)

if you ever get the chance to try it, do so!
