FINLAND. According to Newsweek...

The short and skinny of it is that the United States came out at #11. ARG. We were beaten by CANADA (#7). ARG ARG. And Sweden (#3). ARRRRRRG.

I know we've got our problems, but seriously, #11?

The video says that they compared education, quality of life, and health in order to draw their conclusions. Anything more specific than that will probably have to be found in the article itself.

On a related note, they also dubbed the Czech Republic as the best country for sex. According to their data, Czechs have sex as frequently as the French, as early in life as the Dutch, and with as little fear for STDs as Italians. I'm dead serious.

Maybe that is because they 'talk' to their kids and their kids know better than our kids.

Not to mention the fact that some kids go, OH GOD IT HURTS TO PEE BUT I AM NOT GOING TO TELL ANYONE CAUSE IT MUST BE SOMETHING NEW AND NOTHING BAD!!!!!!!!!!

Cool, I guess. It's not like I'm ever going to be able to leave the USA permanently, since I don't have that kind of money, but hey, I take what I've been born into. All this "Us vs. Them" regarding which country you happen to have been spawned into is pretty arbitrary, but meh, I don't really care.

It's okay in the USA. It could be better, but it could definitely be much, much worse. Gives us something to shoot for, I suppose.

Well, to be honest SP, if schools weren't treated like prisons and the sheer fact that if parents, nah screw that. I am not blaming parents for the sheer fact that you can preach to a kid till your blue in the face but the kid is going to do what the kid wants to do. I just wish kids had some wisdom with their decision. Such as HS on how many people drop out/don't care/whatever.

Then they blame the 'man, system or whatever' because their poor or worse.

Then you have babies having babies as my teachers always put it.

Then again I'm sure other countries have the same problem but it seems so rampart at least in my location. Freshman year I counted about 15 girls pregnant and having their kid while 30 more had abortions. By sophomore year there was 8 with 10 having abortions and junior year was about 18 with 7 having abortions. Senior year was about 35 and I don't remember the abortion count.

The only reason I know or even remember so much because some of my 'contacts' who were my 'somewhat friends/people I talked to' always had the latest gossip, calling certain girls whores/sluts even though they weren't.

You know the talk, such things as, OH I RIPPED MY GFs VAGINA UP AND TOOK HER CHERRY!!!!!! SHE IS SUCH A SLUT!!!!

It's like -.-;.

That's the thing about Finland, Sweden, and Norway... the suicide rate is totally inordinate to the populations of the countries.

The only theory I've heard about why that might be has to do with living so close to the pole; every winter you're wrapped in constant darkness above the arctic circle.
