What's your favorite food? and Why?
I pretty much will go for anything grilled over fire. :)
But something I like a lot that not many people have really tried are *drum roll* Ginger-Ale Steaks. :) Basically you start to fry some steak in a pan, then while it's cooking you pour about half a can of ginger ale in to boil the steak in. Then add some lemon pepper and johnny's seasoning salt. If you do it right it's pretty much the most delicious thing ever. :)

Oh and READ THIS: http://startcooking.com/blog/395/50-Ways-to-Use-Bacon
The cheap, but deluctable Chocolate bars from Aldi, Pizza, real Ice Cream that isn't store-bought and freezer burned, the Dippin' Dots stuff you get at places like Cedar Point, cotton candy, Omelette's and Toast, and Coffee. If that were all that was left in the world, I'd be satisfied well beyond my means.

Mmm..

Crogg, take a look at this, a friend of mine sent me a link to possibly one of the greatest uses for bacon man has devised:
http://www.peppersandsmoke.com/bbq/deepfried/
Personally, I find the cheeseburger to be the world's most perfect food. I like it even more than steak. Before I moved out, I went to Cheeburger Cheeburger with my friends to celebrate.
Of course, I got the pounder, and added every damn thing I have ever liked on a burger (and a few new ones): Jalape?o cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, tomato, pickles, pepperoni, bacon, grilled mushrooms, onions, jalape?os, and others that I'm probably forgetting.
DAMN IT WAS GOOD.
That is amazing, absolutely amazing. Thank you for making Crogg starving.

The guy who sent it to me told me that he did it in part to break in the deep frier he got as a present from his mom. When he informed her of how he intended to use it, she immediately regretted the gift.
....
I need a deep fryer, a meat grinder, and a pound of bacon.

I guess I'll say that I like Teriyaki dish, if that makes sense to say...
Hmm, I prefer... Erm. Coke?
...Just kidding, maybe piece of code... Maybe no.
I don't really have favorite dish, I eat quite much everything. What I'd like to try again is sushi. But I don't know if I could call it to my favorite dish.

Jasmin, you're only a year older than me. Don't tell me you don't remember that way back when the ice cream man used to sell popsicles that looked like Mario and Ninja Turtles, and in both cases the eyes (both of them!) were bubble gum. They were only the most boss popsicles EVER in the history of desserts.
They need to bring those back. Dora can't compare to Leonardo.
And if you really don't remember, I weep for you and your deprived childhood.
reginacroft

Actually....I remember that too.
Lol
Mario was the best.
Forgot about that
Jasmin Jaquine
05-29-2008, 21:32
I so do not remember such Popsicles, but that could be the result of me not liking bubble gum....so my family may have never treated me to such things.

05-29-2008, 21:35
But perhaps you saw the delightful expression on Mario's icy and delicious face staring at you from the picture on the side of the ice cream man's van, yes?
... Shucks. If you don't remember, then I guess you don't remember. *weep*
Crogg remembers Tengu, Crogg remembers. Ninja Turtles were always win.

Maybe they did not have such treats in Wisconsin as Wisconsin has the best ice cream ever and we did not have to resort to such cheap imitations for our desserts.

See what I mean?
Turtles > Dora.
Edit in response to Jasmin:
You may be right. But I think it's more likely that Snidely Whiplash stole them all from Wisconsin before you had a chance to get them.
Unless KM can prove me wrong by remembering these things as well.

The worst part for me...having to rotate product, argh. That was most of the work involved.

Chef, you like burgers, you need to get out here and try one of my dad's, he runs a restaurant. He just made one 1.5x his normal size, on a giant bun, and it was absolutely divine. I've never beat it, and I'm NOT being bias.

Additionally, ginger mochi ice cream, squid sashimi, and just about any pasta. And spider rolls.

I've tasted the kind your talking about and, ya, the slimy ones can be give or take (though I would likely eat them anyway, hehe)
But you can actually bread them up real nice to where they are even puffy rather than slimy.
Attached is what I believe you are referring to as the slimy type and, second, the puffier type

I don't dislike okra but it's not very widely available here and I don't find it interesting enough to go out of my way to look for it.
I don't think I can narrow my favourite foods down to a list of specific items, but I love almost anything Chinese, and most spicy foods. And I also love rice. I'd eat it every day if I had the chance (especially as I don't like most forms of potato), but unfortunately my younger son doesn't like rice at all, so I feel obliged to limit how often I serve it.
