I just got this kind of error when I tried to submit the score I got on Hungry Blocks. (Almost beat your score, Gio!)
If this had happened when I get the top score, I'd be pretty pissed off.

Now I'm just wondering, what's up with this?

Yeah, I ran into that when I did the zelda mini game the first time around, I beat your score (got 35) when I beat but then it tells me that the score wasn't saved and transmitted. If that is the case, I suppose it is quite alright to manually add in the high score (I can do that, not sure where and how yet)
