Project Burg :: How to Join

Project Burg has started! If you don't know what it is, it's kind of a forum-based virtual reality that builds itself as it goes. You can only see the subforum which houses its threads if you request usergroup membership to it. This keeps the threads from bogging down people who don't want to see them. If you want to join, please say so here. If you want to join just for the sake of seeing what's going on before committing to anything, that is also fine.

Okay, but I'm not sure to what extent I'm not, like, shutting down Burg soon. Depends. I have to think about it, due to my busy-ness.

Well, we all know what happens when BC becomes disenchanted with a project due to its magnitude.

1) Instant destruction and a few people feel upset for a while.

2) Prolonged misery preceding a delayed destruction and a lot of people feel angry for a while.

I've learned the lesson to opt for the former when possible.

Why not just step down from your position, leaving someone else as the co-ruler as Burg while you leave for bigger, brighter things? It doesn't exactly have the momentum behind it as, say, a forum or anything, but it's low-input enough to let it die on its own through inactivity. Meanwhile, if someone like Zeit or Gio come through with an idea for money, we can implement that which might let someone else come up with or implement their own ideas which enables others, so on, ad nauseam.

Remember, there's no reason to trash it. The game itself is built upon the players and their choices, so they can continue if they so choose. If you don't want to be on council, just make chef a mayor with the power to elect if he chooses.
