One of my coworkers showed me how the new PS3 demo content for our console at the store has this track (among many others) which don't play during the normal advertising rotation.

There's a couple tracks from some game soundtracks, as well as some strange selections from various artists. Including Adam Lambert (play his song if you want to drive everyone within earshot insane).

I've been listening to a little bit of music here and there, partially because of a recent trip to Wisconsin and partially because I heard a garage band do a really good impromptu version of In Memory of Elizabeth Reed. The most notable music from the trip was several hours of Buckethead, but for the past two days I've been listening to The Allman Brothers Band.

Fela - Zombie

I got turned on to this stuff after watching an episode of the Colbert Report where he had the cast of the Broadway show Fela! on. They performed this song, and it kicked ass.

Fela himself kicked ass, too. He was a Nigerian musician and the founding father of the afrobeat genre, with the power to make you want to dance to songs about horrible, terrible oppression.

Had Loving Spoonful's Summer In the City stuck in my head for a while now, don't know why, so I listened to that today, then The Decemberists' album Picaresque, mostly for We Both Go Down Together, which then segued into Deep Purple's Highway Star and then their album Abandon. Then I went and did something else.
